New Sunday School Classes Begin January 11th

Two new Bible classes will begin on Sunday, January 11, at 9:30 AM at our normal meeting location.

The two classes are described below:

1. Keys For Securing a Successful Marriage
   Successful marriages do not just happen - especially in the current "me" generation in which we live. They are planned! God's Word provides all of the necessary keys to secure and maintain a healthy and harmonious marriage. Some of the marital subjects that will be covered include:
   • Marital Communication
   • Finances in the Christian Home
   • The Effects of Sin on A Marriage
   • Guidelines for Choosing the Right Partner
   • Genuine Love
   • Acting and Reacting
   • Surviving the Marital Storms
   • Spouse Roles
   Other features of this class include will case studies, resources to take home, question and answer time, and group discussions.

   This class is available for married and non-married adults.

2. Creation and Evolution
   The origin of life is a topic that continues to provoke discussion and debate. Even in the recent presidential primaries the question of creationism was asked and debated. But can anybody really be sure of how life began? Or when it began? Or even why?

   Join this interactive study to learn what the Bible tells us about the origin of life and humankind. You will enjoy this informative class as many topics and questions are discussed. Here are just a few items that will be considered in our study:

   • When did it all begin?
   • Was everything created in six literal days?
   • Was there really a Garden of Eden, and if so, where was it?
   • Did a worldwide flood really take place?
   • What about the dinosaurs?
   Not only will this study be informative, it will also be a blessing as we gain a deeper understanding of the God of the Universe.

   The Bible will be the main resource and focus for this class. Additional reference will be used from the book The Genesis Record: A Commentary on Genesis by Henry Morris.

   This class is available for teenagers and adults.

 
Heritage Baptist Church also offers engaging Sunday Bible studies appropriately targetted for children of all ages.
As with all services at HBC, a nursery will be provided for children three years of age and under for parents attending any of our services.
